TODAY was the last day for the old DNS (Domain Name Servers). They were 207.3.252.6 and 207.3.252.7. The NEW numbers are 151.201.91.6 and 151.201.90.6. If you have not changed them, you probably can not view this web page. If you have any friends using our service and they tell you that they can login but can't go anywhere or get their email, then they haven't changed their DNS numbers yet. We have been advertising this change on our home page (www.forcomm.net) for the last 2 months. Apparently some of you never check it. Please check our home page from time to time to be aware of any annoucments or changes. The Instructions for changing DNS number are HERE

We have noticed a lot of bad email coming through our email server. It appears that a few of you are using the CC: in your email program incorrectly. The CC: means Carbon Copy. It is used to send the email you are working on to an additional person or persons. The CC: needs the same format as the TO:. It needs a valid email address or addresses. So, if you are sending an email to friend@somewhere.com and want to send a copy of the same email to buddy@someplaceelse.com all you have to do is put buddy@someplaceelse.com on the CC: line. When you send the email it will go to both places at the same time. If you want to send to more than 2 people, multiple address can be entered in the CC: line separated by spaces or commas such as: joe@here.com, bill@there.net, sally@someplace.com Hope this helps.

A few customers using Intenet Explorer in Window 3.1 have called in with a problem that I would like to call to your attention. There appears to be a minor bug in the program that every once in a while will give you the following error:
            NPP_StreamAsFile():
            fname is NULL!
            This probably means your disk cache is too small
This should be corrected in the next version of the software. In the mean time, if you should encounter the error, do the following... Find "options" in the pull down menus. Go to the last tab and click on "settings" for the temporary internet files. You need to do 2 things there.
1) Clear the cache by removing the files.
2) Increase your cache size. (just a little, you don't want to waste too much disk space. This should fix the problem for a while. If it happens again, just go back and clear it out one more time. I'll let you know on this page, when the next version comes out.

On 5/17/1997 we installed a new E-Mail machine. The old machine starting giving us problems this past Wed.. After working to try and correct the problem, we decided to replace the machine. At the same time we upgraded the software and made the machine more powerful. If anyone experienced mail delays over the last few days, this was the cause. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Everything is working OK now.
